DegreeMapper is an independent reference site covering the 985 two-year, predominantly associate-degree-granting community colleges that report to the U.S. Department of Education. We exist because the same federal data that admissions officers rely on is, for prospective students, scattered across spreadsheets, exploratory dashboards, and PDF state reports. We pull it together, restructure it for direct comparison, and cross-link it so a real choice between two colleges takes minutes rather than hours.
We have no financial relationship with any institution listed on the site. We do not run lead-generation forms, we do not sell student contact information, and we do not receive a commission from clicks to college websites. Our priority is the prospective student or guidance counselor making a decision, not the institutions we cover. When we do display advertising, those slots are clearly labeled and segregated from the editorial layout.
If you are a current or former student, an institutional researcher, or a guidance counselor, and you find a number on the site that doesn't match your experience, please tell us. The federal data is a year or two behind the present in some categories, and individual records occasionally contain reporting errors that we'd like to correct or annotate. Our methodology page documents how we ingest and present the underlying data.
